Willie, Postbox, Seattle | Bon Vintage
As if inartsnw didn’t have all of its bases covered already (see the story “The Inmates at inartsnw” for more info), they’ve got their own happening vintage spot tucked right off of the lobby.
Bon Voyage Vintage, run by married couple and pickers par excellence Keith Wilson and Megan Connors, carries duds and bric-a-brac of all shapes and sizes. Snazzy high-necked dresses line the walls, boots and shoes abound, and tucked into every nook and cranny are double-take-worthy curios. (See, for example, an old hot pad with a cat’s face on it and a bust of a German milkmaid).
The duo have an incomparable eye—be sure to stop in soon and check out what’s new--err, old. Wilson and Connors are adamant on keeping the store affordable and accessible, and while they don’t buy from the public, they’re amenable to trades. Click on the vortex hanging from the ceiling (it’s actually a pink 50's floor-length skirt) to visit Bon Voyage’s Facebook page.
